Holiday concert set for Dec. 12 at BSC

Bismarck State College Music program features a variety of its performing ensembles, combos and choirs, both instrumental and vocal, in the ninth annual BSC Holiday Concert Wednesday, Dec. 12.

This tribute to the Christmas season mixes traditional and sacred music with familiar carols and contemporary songs presented under the direction of several BSC music faculty.
           
Individual and combined groupings will rotate on the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium stage for the 7:30 p.m. concert. Performing are the Guitar Ensemble, Concert Choir, Jazz Combo, Chamber Choir, String Ensemble, Women’s Ensemble, Trombone Ensemble, Men’s Ensemble and Wind Ensemble.
 
The BSC String Ensemble joins the various vocal groups on stage throughout the evening and the concert closes with “Bells of Joy,” a combined finale of all groups. Directing the ensembles are Doug Klein, Dr. Jeff Stone, Michael Langer, Laura Prokopyk, Clyde Bauman, Dr. John Darling and Dawn Hagerott. Nancy Darling and Colleen Hathaway are the concert accompanists.
 
The BSC Holiday Concert is presented to the community at no charge.
